Archeological investigations for construction of a pv array

Subject: Archeological investigations for construction of a pv array

Location: City of Velletri (Rm)

Client: Renovalia

Description:

The area covers an area of about 10 hectares and will be occupied by the installation of photovoltaic panels. The preventive investigations were carried out by digging a series of trenches of investigation. During the work have not been found archaeological features interesting even if different materials were recovered, within the layers of colluvium. All archaeological finds, with the exception of a few fragments of pottery, refer to splinters / blades and flint tools attributed to the culture of the Mousterian pontiniano (industry on pebble). These finds were recovered in some areas with the presence of red clays.
